Why you're not finding slots, even when you check every day

It's not that slots don't exist. It's that they appear when you are not checking.

The good news: earlier slots do get released

Embassies release new batches of dates, and individual cancellations can happen at any time. So even if you see faraway dates or a 'no slots available' message right now, earlier appointment dates — sometimes even within the next 2 weeks — can still become available later.

The bad news: nobody knows when — and they can be gone in under two minutes

Nobody knows what dates will open or when — it could be tomorrow or a few weeks from now. And when earlier slots do appear, hundreds of applicants may be competing for them at the same time. Slots that appeared at 2:57 PM can be gone by 2:59 PM. If you checked at 3:00 PM, you'd never know they existed.

Example: why manual checking misses slots
9:00 AM You checked — no slots — before starting your day
1:00 PM You checked again — no slots — trying to be consistent at lunch
2:57 PM Earlier slot appeared — batch release or cancellation
2:59 PM Slot was booked — by someone checking at the right moment
6:00 PM You checked after work — no slots — so it looked like nothing ever opened

You did everything right. But checking 2-3 times per day still leaves a lot to chance. The more often you check, the more you control that chance — and the luckier you can be at finding earlier slots.

😩
Checking more often manually is nearly impossible

Every single check isn't just "open the website and look." It means:

  • Waiting in a queue or passing a Cloudflare security check
  • Logging back in
  • Waiting for the schedule page to load
  • Selecting the embassy and waiting for the calendar
  • Checking if the date is early enough and if time slots are actually available
  • Slowing down so you don't trigger rate limits
  • Then doing it all again an hour later

That's one check. Now imagine doing that many times per day, every day, for weeks.

You still have work, school, family, sleep — not to mention the visa interview to worry about. You should not have to spend your whole day staring at a calendar just to know whether a slot opened.

Most people give up — and end up with cancelled travel plans.

🚨
Before you consider hiring agents — read this

After weeks of checking with no results, many people get frustrated and start looking for agents. While there are real agents out there, there are even more scammers who try to take advantage of desperate applicants.

The scam works like this: they promise an early slot, ask for your login (as a real agent would), but then change your security questions. They create a fake screenshot and demand payment before returning the account. Most people pay, only to log in and find nothing.

If this happens to you — don't panic, don't pay. Contact the embassy directly and tell them you forgot your login. They will help restore it.

Real agents do exist — but they are competing for the same appointment dates as everyone else. They win because they use tools regular applicants usually do not have, and they spend more time checking than most people can.

The FindVisaSlots Chrome browser app lets you compete for those same slots — while keeping your login info safe.

We built a tool to help you keep checking.

The FindVisaSlots Chrome browser app works while you have the visa portal open, helping monitor the portal and perform calendar checks — so you can keep it running in another window and get alerted when an earlier slot appears.

Safety Questions

Will I be blocked if I use this?

No. Using the FindVisaSlots extension will not block your visa account.

There is no automation involved in community alerts, reminders, or manual-check features.

Users may separately enable optional Portal Assist features that can interact with the scheduling portal.

When checking manually, the portal can already slow you down with waiting rooms, Cloudflare checks, rate limits, page-view limits, or session resets. The more often you check, the more likely you are to see those screens.

Those are normal portal limits — not an account block.

FindVisaSlots helps you check more consistently — whether that is a couple of times per day, once every hour, or whatever interval you feel comfortable with. You stay in control of how often you check.

Is my login safe?

We loaded the Chrome extension source code into Claude AI and asked it to review what the extension can access, what data it stores, and whether it found suspicious behavior.

Verdict from the Claude AI review
"The extension behaves as described. Credentials stay on your device if you use autofill. Data sent externally during normal operation is limited to appointment availability and an anonymous device identifier. No deceptive or malicious behavior was found in the code."

Why FindVisaSlots is the better way to find a slot

Manual Checking FindVisaSlots Agents / Consultants
Effort High — log in and check again and again Lower — tools help you check, find, and book faster Lowest — someone else does it for you
Finding a slot Low — most people check only 2–3 times per day Higher — your own checks plus alerts from community checks Varies — depends how often they actually check
Risk None None — your login stays private, and you're 100% in control High — you must share your portal login
Cost Free — but hours of daily effort From $9 USD $100 – $500 USD+
No tool can guarantee a booking. Earlier slots are rare and highly competitive — when one opens, hundreds of people may be trying to book it at the same time. What this tool does is make sure you know about it faster and can act on it faster than checking manually. It gives you the best possible chance, not a guaranteed outcome.

FAQ

Common questions

Honest answers, nothing hidden.

No. Portal Assist helps reduce delays in login, checking, and booking while you are logged in on the official site, but no tool can guarantee a booking. Thousands of agents and applicants may be competing for the same slot at the same time.
The visa portal limits how many times you can load the appointment calendar per day — typically around 15 to 20 times. Once you hit that limit, the calendar will stop showing available dates until the next day. This is a portal restriction that applies to all users, not something the extension causes.
Yes. Your login stays securely on your device using local storage to power the Quick Login feature. We never see or transmit your login credentials.
The Chrome Extension runs in your desktop browser while you are logged in on the official site. Portal Assist helps you move through login, checking, and booking steps faster in your browser session. If you step away from your desk, our iPhone and Android apps send instant alerts when new slots are detected.
There is no fixed schedule. The embassy may release new dates every few days, or it could take a week or more. Individual cancellations can happen at any time. Nobody knows when the next opening will be — that is exactly why consistent monitoring matters.
Visa appointment slots can appear and disappear in seconds. When a cancellation or batch release happens, many applicants see it at the same time. If someone books the slot before you log in, it will no longer be available.

Alerts notify you as soon as a new earlier date is detected, but they cannot reserve or hold the slot. Portal Assist can help you move through the booking flow faster while you are logged in on the official site.
